The bull—an enduring emblem of masculinity—is a recurring motif in Pablo Picasso’s oeuvre. Confronting his notorious remarks about women, I reimagined him as a bull with a disproportionately small human head, a grotesque fusion that exposes the imbalance between bodily force and intellectual authority. The work caricatures the cult of masculine genius and questions the gendered power structures that have long shaped the mythology of the artist. When the tail is pulled, the piece releases a soundscape of the Spanish countryside.
