MILLS OF FAUSTUS V. (2022)

Intervention

Tiny mills roll on the shore, float on the water. The wind blows them along. A construction that spins, grinds and constantly produces lets itself be controlled. By inverting the usual system of proportions and emphasising movement, we attempted to question humanity’s absurd sense of superiority over nature. The wind-watermill hybrid, the accumulation of rotation, is an ironic commentary on the unconditional positive interpretation of productiveness.
