The focus of the festival in year 2021 was on Czech films.
Bohumil Hrabal is a major figure of Czech literature, the title of his novel Cutting it short refers to an emblematic episode: the radio, an achievement of the time, brings the music not only of the brass band Kmoch Kolin, but also of Brno, Pilsen or even Vienna, to the ears of the fellow citizens, without wires, through the air. Encouraged by this great shortening of distances, our protagonist sets out to shorten everything that she can.
