On 10 January 1610, Galileo Galilei, professor at the University of Padua, states that there is no heaven. The Inquisition bans his books and forces him to renounce his teachings. He lived under house arrest until his death in 1642. This means a luxurious room with 2 assistants and full board.
An Alpine sanatorium. The retired Galileo, 'on forced leave', and a younger guest sit in a minimalist, sterile sanatorium space, reminiscent of a Finnish sauna, and chat about celestial bodies.
